Well, we cant believe that its been almost 4 weeks since we last updated our page. We know its been a busy Summer for most and its not been any different here at the Swale Community Care Project.

Following the successful Morrisons Food drive we have been inundated with contact from other organisations and members of the community in need. We have been fortunate to have been invited to attend the upcoming “Cost of Living” group at Swale Borough Councils Offices and also to the Co-Op Community Forum. Its great to hear about others great work and how we can work together to achieve a better Swale.

So apologies for the name dropping but thankyou to:

Swale Councils Reset – Housing options Team

Kent Community Foundation

The Jenny Wren

Without your engagement, enthusiasm and support organisations like us would not be able to help great communities such as ours.

A big thankyou to Trevor Williams and the team of volunteers who were at Faversham market for our Tombola fundraising. We are back again on Saturday 16th September – feel free to drop by our stall and have a chat, buy a ticket or two. These events wouldn’t be possible without the kind prize donations. Too many people to name but you know who you are – thankyou so much ðŸ’–💖

Its been great to see our Volunteers taking up the opportunity of some free training in the last week. Well done with the knowledge growth and your certificates. We are proud of all your hard work and know it will make some of our pipeline projects a real success.

The next few weeks we are continuing our networking with other like minded teams and a few meetings over venues for our community cafe project. (fingers crossed ðŸ¤ž).
