June has seen 39 emergency food parcels delivered, 94 people fed and 694kg of food distributed. This included 14 new households that we have been able to support.
A MASSIVE thankyou to those businesses and donor’s that have supported our emergency food parcel project – it really does mean so much to those families in need.
We can confirm that we have just signed the rental agreement for our community Cafe premises as part of a local charitable collaboration and the teams couldn’t be more excited. It has taken a long time finding the right venue, in the right location with the best potential to help those in the community. We have just had the space surveyed and scoped for its interior refresh and are immensly grateful for the support from local businesses and organisations in working together to get this project up and running. The next month is going to be incredibly busy getting the space setup to provide an accessible, warm and safe community space for all.
As soon as we have the grand opening date available we will share. In the meantime if you think you could help, or your company might be interested in working with local charities please get in touch – we would love to hear from you.
So a great month of collaboration with new parties and continuation of established working relationships we have the following thankyou’s to share:
– The Axis Foundation for their community grant for equipment for our community cafe project. Thankyou so much and look forward to seeing you soon to show how your generosity will help the community.
– mhs homes group for their Summer Raffle fund raising.
– Sittingbourne Morrisons Community / Charlotte & Natalie for the continued foodbank support.
– Aldi UK Sheerness for their food donations – the fresh fruit and veg are a great addition to our food parcels.
– Lidl GB Sittingbourne for their Bakery donations – these are going down really well with our Beneficiaries and frequent visitors to St. Michael’s Church – Sittingbourne and Queenborough Town Council Emergency Food Bank
– Sittingbourne and Sheppey helping Ukraine-SSHU for their help, support and motivation.
– to all those small businesses, individuals and families that we have thanked personally on our group page – thankyou for your caring support.
We will be at the Sheerness Freemason’s Summer Spectacular on the 3rd August raising funds for our community projects so feel free to pop over for what will be a great day and say hello
